Ealing Council Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 and Cumulative Impact Assessment Consultation

Ealing Council is consulting on its draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 and Cumulative Impact Assessment from 13 December 2024 to 17 January 2024.

The policy determines how the Council considers applications for licences to sell alcohol, provide entertainment or offer late night refreshment. The policy has been updated to ensure the licensing objectives of crime and disorder prevention, promoting public safety and keeping children from harm are promoted, as well as facilitating Ealing’s night time economy, which plays a key role in the economic and cultural development of the borough.

Included with the policy is an assessment of cumulative impact which has led to proposals for “Special Policy Areas” within which special licensing policies apply, due to the potential that further granting or expansion of licensed retail of alcohol might lead to negative impacts on nuisance, safety or crime.

This is a statutory consultation under the Licensing Act 2003 and as such a number of organisations and individuals are directly consulted. In addition the Council is inviting any interested parties to have their say on the new policy.

We are interested in your views and invite you to complete this survey consisting of fifteen questions about the proposed policy.

This consultation will be open until midday Friday 17 January 2025.

Following the consultation, feedback will be included in a report to Ealing’s Licensing Committee and ultimately the council’s cabinet for final adoption of the policy itself.

If you require assistance to participate please email Ealing’s licensing team at [email protected] or by calling 020 8825 6655, before midday Friday 17 January 2025.

If you would rather submit an email with your opinions on the policy than complete the questionnaire you can also email the team directly at [email protected] before midday Friday 17 January 2025.

If you would rather submit your opinions in writing please post them to Licensing Team, Ealing Council, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, W5 2HL and ensure they are received before midday on Friday 17 January 2025.
